Real Life Experience

With over 30 years of experience, ClearShield is proven to work on virtually any glass. A small selection of projects where ClearShield was applied and its benefits can be viewed below. Other case studies are available on request.

Shower Enclosures

Sanderson Hotel, UK

Shower cubicles in this chic hotel in London’s West End were restored to their original pristine condition thanks to the award-winning ClearShield System. The project at the lavish urban retreat involved renovating and protecting sandblasted glass shower cubicles in 150 rooms.

Although an attractive and popular option, sandblasted glass is especially vulnerable to surface contamination such as finger marks, and as a result can soon lose its visual appeal, in addition to limescale. ClearShield was the solution, and is able to resist these problems.

Decorative Glass

The Modern, New York

One of New York’s finest restaurants, The Modern is located in the MoMA, one of the world’s foremost collections of modern art.

Approximately 1,800 square feet of low iron sandblasted glass throughout the restaurant’s interior was renovated and treated with ClearShield to protect its pristine appearance from fingerprints and general dirt.

Residential Glass

Family House, Santiago Tianguistenco, Mexico

The homeowners of this beautiful 5-bedroom house requested that all of the glass was renovated and protected with the ClearShield System onsite. The main problems that affected the glass were moisture, tree sap and birdlime, all of which contaminated the glass and proved difficult to remove.

Over 1,800 square feet of interior and exterior glass was treated in total, and following the simple AfterCare program ensures that the glass is kept looking as good as new.

Architectural Glazing

Shanghai World Finance Center, China

Upon completion in early 2008, the 1,614-feet high Shanghai WFC will be the tallest building in China. With 1.3 million square feet of exterior glass protected with ClearShield, the WFC has the added benefit of glass protection during construction, reducing the potential for expensive glass replacements and costly delays.

Marine Glass

Princess Cruises

The first Princess Cruises ships to have ClearShield were the Regal Princess and the Crown Princess. Exterior glass of these ships was renovated and protected in 1987. Since then, all new Princess builds have included treatment with the ClearShield System. Cruise lines benefit from ClearShield in many ways: improved visibility, lower maintenance costs, less salt and mineral deposits and less glass damage from the harsh marine environment.

Suvarnabhumi New Bangkok International Airport, Thailand

ClearShield helped to reduce costs and delays on the construction site of this new major airport by protecting the glass from cement, concrete and construction dust. Almost 1.1million square feet of glass was treated. The airport was fully open in 2006, and in the future, the glass will still resist staining from jet exhaust fumes and other contaminants as well as remaining easier to clean.

Glass Renovation

Santander Serfin Offices, Sante Fe and Queretaro, Mexico

Transparencia en Servicios is the official Marketing Partner in Mexico. The company renovated and protected the interior and exterior glass of both offices with the ClearShield System. Some 430,000 sq. ft. of glass was treated onsite in total. The glass remains cleaner and easier to clean while protecting this beautiful and unique architectural structure.
